Victor Osimhen has been great for Galatasaray
Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has been performing quite well while on loan for Turkey side Galatasaray with four goals and two assists in five matches so far this season in the Turkish Super Lig.
With Osimhen not a part of Napoli’s plans they’re hoping to be able to sell the star forward during the January transfer window. The good news is that right now it looks like Galatasaray are willing to make an offer for him, but the bad news is that it won’t be what The Blues are looking for.
According to Sozcu (via Il Mattino), Galatasaray are only willing to offer €50 million for Osimhen and are looking for their sponsors to help pay his wages on a potential five-year contract.
The €50 million offer would be well below the €75 million release clause that Napoli has placed on Osimhen, which is valid until June of 2025.
Unless another club comes in and offers more for Osimhen, Napoli will have the choice this winter to either wait until next summer and hope that a team is wiling to give them €75 million for the Nigerian star or accept Galatasaray’s offer.
Of course Napoli could counter Galatasaray’s offer and try to meet them in the middle at €65 million, but the Turkish giants may not be able to afford to pay that much money for Osimhen.
If Napoli don’t get a better offer this winter, I would just wait until next summer to sell Osimhen and ultimately take what you can get from the highest bidder.
