Danilo is falling out of favor in Turin
Juventus defender Danilo isn’t having the best season so far and he will likely leave within the winter transfer window withs contract set to expire next summer.
There is a report from Sy Sports Italy (via AreaNapoli) that Napoli and Marseille are both interested in Danilo.
Right now Juve actually need Danilo due to the fact that they’re dealing with multiple injuries on defense. But if they’re able to add some players during the upcoming window, they might be open to selling him.
It makes sense thtat Napoli are interested in Danilo because of sporting director Giovanni Manna’s time at Juventus. But, the one issue that the Azzurri will face when it comes to Danilo is his wage demands.
Danilo has established himself as a key figure at The Old Lady since joining the club in 2019. The Brazilian defender arrived from Manchester City in a transfer deal that also involved João Cancelo, and he quickly became a versatile and reliable presence in Juventus’ backline. Known for his tactical intelligence, Danilo can play multiple positions on defense that incliudes right-back, left-back, and even as a central defender or defensive midfielder.
During his time in Turin, Danilo has earned praise for his leadership qualities, becoming a vocal and influential presence on and off the pitch. He played a crucial role in Juventus’ Serie A title win in the 2019-2020 season, contributing both defensively and offensively with his precision passing and occasional goals. Unfortunately now at the age of 33 his career is winding down but a club like Napoli could use his services.
